Amazing transforming fashion (I mean it. Really. Amazing.)

I did have a couple of interesting blogs lined up today on the subject of colour and information presentation, but they'll have to wait, because core77 flags up this amazing video of the work of Hussein Chalayan. Aren't they just incredible? I've never seen anything like this. Such elegant use of smart fabrics - a field which has been promising so much for so long and yet (so far) delivered so little.

Admittedly, it'll still be a while before these are ready for the high street... but by the look of it, not that long. I've never before seen anything that hinted at the possibility, so to me these look just incredible.

But that's what made it a party!

Ah the incredible "get nekkid" hat.... every guy's dream outfit....

Several of the hats were the best part of their respective outfits. That last one, however, took the prize when no one was looking.

Anyone else agree that despite the phenomenal artistry of the designer and his way cool presentation, the dresses were nonetheless as bad as typical runway chic can be?

that poor last girl. "damned hat ate my dress! nobody told me that would happen!"

Haha! (very cool concept, nonetheless)

Argh! No, that's his latest collection (very boring by comparison - well, boring for geeks anyway.) The one I was looking at was the previous collection - some photos here, but they obviously they don't move much. Will try and locate another video, because it is spectacular, I promise.

I imagine such a technology could be useful in portable shower curtain technology, lind of an African motif, with a large water pitcher carried on the head.
