Science Fiction and the City: Film Fest Update (just pretty pictures really)

http://bldgblog.blogspot.com/2007/03/science-fiction-and-city-film-fest.html
Of course I'm on the wrong side of the world to actually go to the event, but I just like looking at the pictures. These sketches of science fiction architecture from James Clyne, Ryan Church, Ben Proctor and Mark Goerner are simply fabulous.

I just didn't want it to stop.

Just bought this book on ebay. I love this guy's work which graced the covers of many sci-fi books from the 60's to the 80's. Looking back on it I realise how often I would buy the book just for the cover, then experience disappointment when the imagination of the author didn't quite match the imagination of the cover artist.

More on Foss here.

I got a series of manga because of the sheer prettyness of the drawings - Hiroki Endo, 'It's an Endless World', I keep having to get them ordered from America and having to wait a month to get my mitts on them, but they're great to look at, the lower drawing here looks a lot like one of his.
