I want to live near a demolition site

... if I can live in one of these.
Wow. The structure is all recycled bits from Boston's Big Dig - lots of
big fat chunks of steel that were lying around unused (it makes my head
dizzy just thinking about it). Awesome.

Nice!
Is that anywhere near Southend? Wouldn't want to live anywhere that I would miss my beloved Football team.

Ah! That's gorgeous! LOVE the windows and the doors and balcony! I can visualize this being built in Arizona too..Overlooking the Grand Canyon.

yea, I can see that too... the colours are perfect for that part of th world. That said, I would sincerely hope it was *never* built there since I think it would spoil a very beautiful part of the world. Suspect it wouldn't be allowed would it? The GC is a World Heritage Site isn't it?

Well one of my brothers lives in Phoenix and when I visited last we went to Sedona. There's a chapel that is built on the side of a hill and it overlooks the city of Sedona. It's beautiful. However, someone is building a HUGE mansion on a little elevation down there and although the house looks interesting and has an observatory on the roof, it is becoming an eye-sore.

I've heard of houses being built in the Grand Canyon, but maybe they have to have certain regulations when building there.

Mmmm, I like that very much! I wouldn't mind living in one of those myself.

How's the big dig going? - I saw it a few (3-4?) years back and all I can remember seeing was a vast whole - with teeny-tiny (due to perspective!) diggers working away. Is it done now?

Nice site -
